Library
Library has a book collection of 5789. Library is using Koha ILMS for proper organisation of library materials in 2022. The software is hosted on cloud through the vendor ‘L2C2 Technologies’. It provides bibliographic details of books through web based OPAC which can be accessed from anywhere using any device with an internet connection i.e. desktop PCs, laptops, tablets and smart phones etc. The system currently provides email based service alerts for over dues, check-ins (return) and checkouts (issue) etc. It is also has the facility to integrate SMS based alerts. Circulation Service is provided through Koha. Unique titles of 3887 have been entered in Koha as of now. Different types of housekeeping / MIS reports can be generated using Koha, which is useful for different departments, committees and inspection from time to time. Circulation of documents is fully automated and barcoded book and library membership cards from students, teachers and staff are kept as supporting documents. Barcoding of books has been started from 2022. The Book and Library Membership cards are also barcoded.
In a nutshell Koha is: 24 X 7 accessible ILMS, which provides the readers with a web based interface to access WEBOPAC to learn about the library collection, availability of the books.
It is MARC 21 compatible ILMS.
